With a turnout that reflects the depth of concern over the future of Alton’s ‘Butterfly Meadow’, people packed the hall from front to back, overflowing into the entrance hall and far-exceeding our expectations! We should have booked a larger venue!
We must give special thanks to:
- Dr. June Chatfield, eminent naturalist member of the Alton Natural History Society, for speaking about why Treloar Meadow is such a natural rarity.
- Steve Hunt, Campaign Manager of the Alton East Hampshire Liberal Democrats, for some excellent suggestions and comments.
- Alan Titchmarsh MBE, for his message of support on 15th April 2018.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who came to the open meeting about preserving Treloar Meadows, and to everyone who helped spread the word beforehand. Without you, we are merely a voice in the wilderness!
